About Jessica
A therapist who meets you in the fullness of who you are.
I'm Jessica Raybon (she/her), a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California.
In my years of clinical experience, I’ve spent time in community agencies supporting survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and domestic violence, and in schools, where I’ve worked closely with adolescents and young adults during important and often complex stages of their lives.
I was raised on the Central Coast of California, where I first pursued studies in Child Development and Music in community college. This knowledge of developmental changes in childhood as well as how impactful music can be in the healing process were the building blocks of my career. I later earned my BA in Gender Studies from UCLA. My background in gender studies taught me that our cultural interpretation of gender deeply influences our lived experience and mental health.
After experiencing a significant season of grief in my personal life, I decided to seek support through therapy. It was here that I discovered the importance of a positive therapeutic relationship and gained a profound appreciation for the powerful and transformative nature of therapy. I wanted to be able to offer this supportive healing space to others, so I sought a grad program that aligned with my values and goals. I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology with a Somatic Concentration from Antioch University Santa Barbara, and hold licenses as both a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
I remain engaged in the professional community as a board member of Central Coast Chapter of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CCC-CAMFT), serving as DEIA+ Chair.
In my free time, you’ll find me exploring the city of Los Angeles. I take care of my own mental health by attending therapy, engaging in creative endeavors of art and singing, boosting endorphins with laughter, staying active with boxing and yoga, and fostering meaningful connections through friendships and volunteering.

Philosophy & Approach
How I work with you in the room.
I believe that healing happens in relationship — and that the therapeutic relationship itself is part of the medicine. From our very first session, my goal is to create a space where you can unmask and show up authentically. The good, the messy, even the parts you haven't said out loud yet. I’m here with you through your challenges, setbacks, progress, and accomplishments.
I use an integrative approach, which means I draw from multiple frameworks to meet your specific needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. My somatic training allows me to bring in movement, breath, and body-based awareness when you're caught in a cognitive spiral — because sometimes the body knows what the mind can't yet articulate.
I work from an intersectional, feminist lens that acknowledges how systems like racism, heteronormativity, sexism, capitalism, and ableism shape our nervous systems and our sense of self. Your identity is never a footnote here. It's central to the work.
"I work from an intersectional, trauma-informed lens that centers cultural humility and deep respect for your lived experience."

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. Learn more at CMS.gov →
